Solar water heater is also called flat plate thermal collector, it is designed to make use of sun energy to heat up water and to store hot water in a reservoir tank for home and commercial use. Mainly used to lower energy cost and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. On the outside of solar water heater, there is a tempered glass cover, normally it is made of 3.2mm or 4mm tempered clear or ultra clear mistlite glass, or 3.2mm or 4mm tempered normal iron or low iron mistlite glass. When using low iron glass, can increase light transmittance to solar heater to raise light heat transfer efficiency.
